Airport TransferNearMe is a shared airport shuttle connecting your home or hotel with the airport door to door. AI optimizes multiple passengers' routes so it lands cheaper than a taxi and easier-with-luggage than the train. We used it several times to Narita and Haneda and compared it with taxis and trains.
We tested fare, door-to-door travel time, luggage handling, and red-eye coverage — all logged in the testing notebook.

What is NearMe? The 30-second version
NearMe is an airport shuttle where several passengers share one van between the airport and their homes or hotels. AI optimizes each rider's route to deliver a fare below a private taxi.
- Door to door, from your entrance to the airport
- Fare fixed at booking (no meter, so no surprise charges)
- Shared model tends to beat a same-route taxi on price
- 24-hour service, so it covers red-eye flights
- Serves major airports incl. Narita and Haneda (check coverage)
Compared with taxi and train on cost and hassle
Choose your airport transfer on luggage and timing, not just price. Here's our same-route comparison (fares vary by route — confirm with a real quote).
- Heavy luggage / red-eye / family: NearMe tends to win
- Light / daytime / solo: train or limousine bus is cheaper
- Fastest and most certain: private taxi (but priciest)
| Option | Rough fare | Luggage | Red-eye |
|---|---|---|---|
| NearMe (shared) | ~half a taxi | Door-to-door, easy | Yes |
| Private taxi | Highest | Door-to-door, easy | Yes |
| Train / limousine bus | Cheapest | Carry it yourself, transfers | Not before first train |
What we learned actually using it
Points worth knowing before booking, from several Narita/Haneda rides.
- You board at your entrance and are dropped at the airport counter area — luggage is handled once, not at every transfer
- Fixed fare means no worry about traffic inflating the price
- Shared pickups/dropoffs add some detours, so leave buffer time
- Early-flight pickups can be 3–4 a.m., so turn in early the night before
From booking to boarding
The steps we followed. Book with buffer, working back from your flight time.
- 1. Enter origin (home/hotel), airport, date/time, and party size on the official site
- 2. Confirm the fixed fare and book (card payment)
- 3. Dispatch details (driver, vehicle, pickup time) arrive the day before/of
- 4. Board at your entrance at the set time and ride door to door
အားသာချက်များ (ကြိုက်သည့်အချက်)
- Door-to-door from your entrance — luggage stays easy
- Tends to beat a same-route taxi on price (shared model)
- Fixed fare at booking, no surprise charges
- 24-hour service covers red-eye flights
- Per-person cost drops for families and groups
အားနည်းချက်များ (သတိထားရမည့်အချက်)
- Shared detours make travel time less predictable
- Can cost more on routes that don't fill up
- Solo light travelers pay less by train

မေးလေ့ရှိသောမေးခွန်းများ
Is NearMe really cheaper than a taxi?
Versus a same-route private taxi, the shared model tends to be cheaper (about half in our rides). But on routes where riders don't fill up, or for certain party sizes, it can cost more — always check the fixed fare at booking.
Can I use it for red-eye flights?
Yes. Working when trains and limousine buses aren't running is a major advantage. Early-flight pickups can fall in the 3–4 a.m. range.
Will the fare increase afterward?
The fare is fixed at booking, so traffic or detours generally won't add charges later.
How long does the shared ride take?
Other passengers' pickups and dropoffs add some detours, so allow more time than a private taxi. Book a ride with buffer, working back from your flight.
Which airports does it serve?
It serves major airports including Narita and Haneda, but coverage and routes change. Confirm your origin–airport pairing on the official site before booking.
