The ground rules in 30 seconds

- SPU +0.5x is judged on the POST-coupon total: app, one order, ¥5,000+

Know the coupon types
Rakuten Fashion issues coupons per brand and category. The ones we actually used (availability rotates):
- Always check target brands, terms, cap and expiry when claiming
- If a coupon pulls the total under ¥5,000, SPU no longer applies — watch borderline orders

Rakuten Fashion's sales move with the seasons. Trends we observed (timing and names vary by year):
- Big seasonal sales (Rakuten Fashion THE SALE etc.): the deepest cuts in summer and winter
- Rakuten Super Sale and marathon periods add multipliers to fashion too
- Black Friday and year-end event sales are also worth watching
- Late-season discounts run deepest but sizes vanish — track wanted items via favorites

- 1. Favorite the clothes and shoes you want; wait for markdowns and sales
- 2. Target periods where a sale overlaps a shopping marathon
- 3. Claim brand/category coupons and enter campaigns
- 4. Buy ¥5,000+ (post-coupon) in one order via the Rakuten Fashion app
- 5. Close with Rakuten Card payment — SPU, buy-around and card points all stack
Common failure patterns
- Bought in a browser and missed SPU → only Rakuten Fashion app orders count
- Coupon pulled the total under ¥5,000 → SPU lost; add an item or check the applied total
- Bought without claiming the coupon → no retroactive use; claim first

Do coupons stack with SPU +0.5x?
Yes — but SPU is judged on the post-coupon total of ¥5,000+ (tax incl.). If the discount pulls you below ¥5,000, the order no longer qualifies. On borderline orders, add one more item.
When is Rakuten Fashion cheapest?
The big seasonal sales (Rakuten Fashion THE SALE etc.) have the deepest sticker cuts. The best effective price comes when a sale overlaps a shopping marathon and you stack coupons, buy-arounds and SPU. Late-season is deepest but sizes vanish — track via favorites.
Do sale items earn points?
Yes. Base points accrue on the sale price, and marathon buy-arounds and SPU stack on top. Sale × coupon × multipliers is exactly the lowest-price route (multipliers and terms change — confirm officially before buying).
Are Ichiba sales and Rakuten Fashion sales the same thing?
Separate but linked. Super Sale and marathons are Ichiba-wide events where Rakuten Fashion counts as one shop; Rakuten Fashion also runs its own big sales and coupons. Periods where both overlap are the most favorable.
